RoamBond ("RoamBond", "we", "us", or "our") provides a travel and local connection service that includes profile discovery, chat, travel mode, and optional paid features (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, when we share it, how long we keep it, and what choices you may have.

1. Information We Collect

We may collect the following categories of information:

Account information

• Email address
• Authentication identifiers associated with Apple, Google, or other sign-in providers
• Language and account preferences

Profile information

• Display name
• Age or date of birth
• Nationality
• Gender and profile visibility preferences
• Current location, home location, travel destination, or other location information you provide
• Bio, languages, intentions, occupation, photos, and other profile content you choose to submit

Communication and safety information

• Likes, matches, chat messages, and related communication records
• Reports, blocks, and support requests
• Information relevant to moderation, abuse prevention, and account safety

Location information

• Location information you manually enter or select
• Device location information, if you grant permission through your device settings
• Distance-related data derived from location information

Camera and photo library information

• Access to your camera if you choose to take a profile photo or other image in the Service
• Access to your photo library if you choose to upload profile photos or other images in the Service

Verification information

• Photos and related information submitted for photo verification
• Photo verification status

Device, technical, and service information

• Push notification tokens
• Device and app information such as operating system, app version, and language settings
• IP address, user agent, and server-side security or abuse-prevention logs

Purchase information

• Information needed to support subscriptions, credit purchases, entitlement restoration, and account status
• Transaction references, billing status, and provider events from app store billing partners such as Apple, Google, and RevenueCat
• We do not directly collect or store full payment card numbers entered outside the app through app store payment systems

2. How We Use Information

We may use your information to:

• Create, authenticate, and maintain your account
• Provide profile discovery, travel mode, search, distance-based features, chat, and other core Service functions
• Show your profile and content to other users according to your settings
• Support photo verification and improve trust and safety on the Service
• Send service notifications, message alerts, purchase-related notices, and account-related communications
• Process subscriptions, credit purchases, and entitlement restoration
• Review reports, investigate misuse, detect suspicious activity, enforce our Terms, and protect users and the Service
• Troubleshoot, secure, maintain, and improve the Service
• Comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests

3. Information Visible to Other Users

Certain information you choose to place on your profile or share through the Service may be visible to other users. This can include, for example:

• Display name
• Photos
• Bio
• Languages
• Intentions or connection styles
• Nationality
• Profile location details you choose to provide
• Coarse distance information

Please use care when deciding what to share.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information in the following circumstances:

• With other users, to the extent you choose to make information visible through your profile or communications
• With service providers that support hosting, storage, authentication, notifications, customer support, moderation, and billing or subscription operations
• With app store and payment partners for subscription, purchase, and restoration functions
• With courts, regulators, law enforcement, or other authorities where required by law or where necessary to protect rights, safety, and the Service
• In connection with a merger, acquisition, restructuring, financing, sale of assets, or similar transaction

5. International Processing

RoamBond is intended for international use. Your information may be stored, processed, or accessed in countries other than your country of residence. By using the Service, you acknowledge that cross-border processing may occur, subject to applicable law.

6. Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to:

• Provide the Service
• Maintain safety and abuse-prevention records
• Comply with legal, tax, accounting, and regulatory obligations
• Resolve disputes and enforce our rights

If you delete your account, we will delete or de-identify information where appropriate, but we may retain limited information for safety, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, and audit purposes.

Deleting your account does not automatically cancel subscriptions billed through the App Store or Google Play. Those subscriptions must be cancelled separately through the applicable store.

7. Your Choices and Rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of certain personal information associated with your account.

You may also:

• Update certain profile information in the app
• Delete your account in the app
• Disable location access through your device settings
• Control notification permissions through your device settings

We may deny or limit requests where permitted by law, including where necessary for identity confirmation, safety, fraud prevention, ongoing investigations, legal compliance, or protection of the Service and its users.

8. Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect your information. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Where required by applicable law, we will take legally required actions for personal data leakage or similar incidents, which may include reports to regulators, notices to affected individuals, and measures to help prevent recurrence. However, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we are not responsible for information leakage, loss, damage, alteration, unauthorized use, acquisition by third parties, or other damages caused by or relating to unauthorized access, cyberattacks, malware, vulnerabilities, communication-route or third-party-service failures, user device, credential, or setting management failures, illegal acts by third parties, or other causes beyond our reasonable control, except where caused by our willful misconduct or gross negligence.

9. Age Restriction

The Service is intended only for persons who are 18 years of age or older. If we determine that an account belongs to a person under 18, we may suspend or remove that account.

10. Third-Party Services

The Service may rely on third-party services and infrastructure, including sign-in providers, cloud and hosting providers, push notification providers, and billing or subscription providers. Their processing of data may be governed by their own terms and privacy notices.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version and revise the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the Service after an update becomes effective means the updated Policy will apply to your use, subject to applicable law.
