These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of RoamBond (the "Service"), which is provided by RoamBond ("we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Scope

These Terms apply to all use of the Service and to all legal relationships between us and users of the Service.

We may also publish policies, community rules, help materials, safety notices, and other guidelines that form part of these Terms.

2. Eligibility

You may use the Service only if you:

• Are at least 18 years old
• Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement
• Provide true, accurate, and current information
• Comply with applicable law, these Terms, and our policies

We may refuse registration or restrict, suspend, or terminate access if we reasonably believe you do not meet these requirements.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for activity that occurs through your account.

You must promptly notify us if you believe your account has been compromised or used without authorization.

Except where prohibited by applicable law, we are not responsible for losses arising from unauthorized access to your account that were not caused by our failure to use reasonable care.

4. Nature of the Service

RoamBond is a travel and local connection platform that supports profile discovery, chat, travel mode, and related features.

The Service may help users discover one another, exchange messages, and connect around local guidance, shared exploration, language exchange, or casual conversation.

We do not guarantee:

• any number of profile views, likes, or replies
• that any connection will lead to ongoing conversations or real-world meetings
• compatibility, authenticity, availability, or conduct of other users
• uninterrupted access, continuous availability, or personal safety

You are solely responsible for deciding whether, when, and how to communicate with or meet other users.

5. Location, Maps, and Local Information

The Service may display or use location-related information, including locations, residence areas, travel destinations, current location, distance, maps, spots, posts, local information, and other place-related information that users enter, select, allow, or submit.

Location, distance, maps, spots, business hours, crowd levels, routes, surrounding conditions, safety conditions, user location, and other place-related information may be inaccurate, incomplete, delayed, unavailable, or different from actual conditions due to device settings, operating systems, communication conditions, third-party services, user input, privacy settings, time lag, estimation processes, or other factors.

We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, timeliness, continuity, usefulness, safety, or fitness for a particular purpose of location information, distance, maps, spots, local information, user location, or movement status. The Service is not designed for emergency calls, rescue, safety confirmation, risk avoidance, precise real-time location tracking, transportation, medical, disaster prevention, or other important decisions.

You are solely responsible for your own decisions and actions regarding travel, movement, visits, meetups, in-person meetings, routes, use of places, contact with other users, and related activities. You should verify important information through official information sources, local sources, transportation providers, facilities, public authorities, police, fire, medical services, or other reliable sources where appropriate.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we are not responsible for damages, accidents, trouble, disputes, losses, injuries, property damage, lost opportunities, or other consequences arising from or relating to location information, distance, maps, spots, local information, user location displays, or decisions, actions, or third-party contacts based on them, except where caused by our willful misconduct or gross negligence or where liability cannot be excluded under applicable law.

6. User Content

You are solely responsible for the content you upload, submit, publish, display, or send through the Service, including profile details, photos, and messages.

You represent that you have the rights necessary to provide such content and that your content does not violate law or the rights of others.

You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, adapt, display, review, and otherwise process your content as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, moderate, and improve the Service.

7. Prohibited Conduct

You must not:

• Provide false information or misrepresent your age, identity, location, or affiliation
• Impersonate another person or create deceptive or misleading profiles
• Use the Service for scams, fraud, financial solicitation, advertising, or investment promotion
• Harass, threaten, abuse, stalk, exploit, or discriminate against other users
• Upload or send unlawful, infringing, obscene, sexually explicit, hateful, or otherwise inappropriate content
• Share another person’s personal information without authorization
• Scrape, crawl, automate, reverse engineer, probe, or interfere with the Service or its systems
• Attempt unauthorized access to accounts, data, networks, or infrastructure
• Use the Service in violation of applicable law, these Terms, or our policies

You may not use the Service to seek, advertise for, identify, solicit, or recruit a boyfriend, girlfriend, romantic partner, dating partner, spouse, or any similar relationship.

You must not use profiles, bios, photos, posts, comments, messages, or any other content or communications on the Service for any of the following purposes:

• seeking or advertising for a romantic partner, dating partner, spouse, or similar relationship
• soliciting or encouraging dating, romance, sexual activity, or similar personal relationships
• posting or sending content intended primarily to arrange personal encounters unrelated to the purpose of the Service
• repeatedly requesting meetings, off-platform contact details, or continued contact from other users for romantic or sexual purposes
• any similar conduct that we reasonably determine to be inconsistent with the purpose of the Service

8. Moderation and Enforcement

We may review, investigate, restrict, hide, preserve, or remove profiles, photos, photo verification submissions, messages, reports, blocks, and related account activity where we reasonably consider it necessary for safety, integrity, abuse prevention, compliance, or enforcement.

We may also, without prior notice where appropriate, limit features, remove content, suspend accounts, or terminate accounts if we reasonably believe that doing so is necessary to protect users, enforce these Terms, or protect the Service.

We retain reasonable discretion in making such decisions, subject to applicable law.

9. Paid Features

The Service may include paid features such as subscriptions, credits, or premium tools.

Prices, available products, billing cycles, renewal terms, and purchase options may change from time to time.

Billing, renewals, cancellations, restorations, and certain refund rights may also be governed by the App Store, Google Play, RevenueCat, or other applicable payment or subscription providers.

Except where required by law or applicable store rules, fees already paid are non-refundable.

10. Third-Party Services

The Service may integrate with or depend on third-party services and infrastructure, including Apple, Google, cloud providers, notification providers, billing providers, and external links.

Except to the extent required by applicable law, we are not responsible for the availability, continuity, accuracy, content, outages, specification changes, termination, or damages caused by third-party services.

11. Changes, Suspension, and Termination of the Service

We may add, modify, suspend, discontinue, or terminate all or part of the Service at any time.

Where reasonably practicable, we may provide notice of material changes, suspensions, or discontinuation.

Except where prohibited by applicable law, we are not liable for losses caused solely by changes, suspension, or termination of the Service that are not due to our failure to use reasonable care.

12. Disclaimer

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim warranties not expressly set out in these Terms, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, timeliness, legality, usefulness, safety, or reliability of users, posts, photos, profiles, messages, spots, maps, location information, distance, translations, notifications, recommendations, search results, or any other information displayed on or through the Service.

We use reasonable safeguards, but we do not guarantee that internet transmission, cloud storage, third-party integrations, devices, credentials, or other technical or human factors will be completely secure or free from leakage, loss, damage, unauthorized access, alteration, or acquisition by third parties.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we are not responsible for data leakage, loss, damage, alteration, unauthorized use, acquisition by third parties, account compromise, or other damages caused by or relating to unauthorized access, cyberattacks, malware, vulnerabilities, communication-route or third-party-service failures, user device, credential, or setting management failures, illegal acts by third parties, or other causes beyond our reasonable control, except where caused by our willful misconduct or gross negligence.

Interactions, communications, meetings, transactions, disputes, or harm involving other users or third parties are at your own risk.

You are responsible for exercising appropriate care, verification, and judgment when using the Service in connection with travel, movement, outings, meetings, use of facilities, contact with third parties, reliance on information, posts, messages, external links, or other actions.

13. Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, and only for losses not arising from our willful misconduct or gross negligence, our total liability to you for claims arising out of or relating to the Service will not exceed the total amount you actually paid to us for the Service in the 12 months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, opportunities, data, or reputation.

The liability cap above applies regardless of the legal theory or form of claim, including contract, tort, default, defect, representation, warranty, statutory liability, or otherwise, except where such limitation is not permitted by applicable law.

14. Account Deletion and Post-Termination Retention

You may delete your account using the methods we make available.

Even after account deletion or termination, we may retain limited information as reasonably necessary for safety, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, enforcement, and audit purposes, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Deleting your account does not automatically cancel subscriptions billed through the App Store or Google Play. Those subscriptions must be cancelled separately through the applicable store.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time.

Revised Terms become effective when posted through the Service or otherwise made available by us, unless applicable law requires a different process.

Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of revised Terms constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

16. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan.

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tokyo District Court as the court of first instance, except where applicable law provides otherwise.
